Why a Reading Minor?
- Having a reading minor will help you stand out during an interview after you graduate. Principals and superintendents have been impressed with our literacy program at WCU.
- The classes you are required to take will help you acquire the knowledge you need to take the literacy and language arts section of the PECT.
- The techniques and information you will learn in the classes you will be required to take will provide you with strategies to engage your future students to enjoy reading.
Will I be taking too many classes to fit into my schedule?
- You only need THREE additional classes (EGP, MGP with a language arts concentration).
- EGP majors need to take nine credits of elective classes, why not make those your reading minor classes?
